Location: Fuel Storage Tank No3, Bristol
Date: February 2018
The Concrete Consultancy 2000 Ltd were commissioned in February 2018 to undertake a concrete condition survey of the internal concrete elements to the soffit of a Fuel Storage Tank within a fuel storage facility in Bristol. Tank 3 is a partially buried circular steel shell structure of 36m in diameter and 6m in height completed with a cast in-situ reinforced concrete roof slab. The structure is known to have been constructed during the second World War and some evidence of the use of German POW labour remains on the concrete fabric of the structure. Following chloride analysis of concrete samples and a full visual and covermeter survey a report included a material specification and bill of quantities for concrete repairs.
This is just one of many projects that The Concrete Consultancy has completed, working to the highest of standards across public and private sectors.
