The concrete consultancy 2000 Ltd are frequently employed by British Telecom to undertake concrete condition surveys of their telephone exchange buildings. The works included the removal of all loose and potentially hazardous concrete and the application of a corrosion inhibiting primer to all exposed steel surfaces. Testing includes the extraction of concrete dust samples for chloride analysis, carbonation depth testing and a covermeter survey. Following analysis of the sample results, a specification for concrete repair was produced along with a bill of quantities.
